Can the floodlight camera be installed outdoors?
Yes. The floodlight camera is operational outdoors in temperatures ranging from -4°F to 122°F (-20°C to 50°C).
The floodlight camera's motion sensor detection sensitivity/distance will vary significantly in different ambient temperature conditions. Try adjusting the sensitivity setting according to seasonal changes.
What is the recommended height and angle to install a floodlight camera?
We recommend installing the floodlight camera at no higher than 3m from the ground with a downward tilt angle of not greater than 30°. Otherwise, the detection range will be shortened.
What is the proper positioning for a floodlight camera?
Place the floodlight camera in an area you want to be lit and the area you need camera coverage, and then install your floodlight camera on the front wall or on the sidewall. In order to pick up all the motion you want to capture, the latter way is highly recommended to have optimal coverage for the floodlight camera.
Note: The motion sensor is more sensitive to movements across the camera’s field of view rather than movements towards or away from the sensor. We highly recommend installing the floodlight camera on the sidewall.
