How Far Can Motion Sensor Be Installed Away From the HomeBase
Motion sensors can be installed up to 100 feet away from the HomeBase. However, the following criteria will determine the actual range allowed between the sensor and the HomeBase.
- WiFi signal strength
- House’s building materials, whether it’s wood, sheetrock, cement, concrete, masonry, etc
- The number of obstacles and walls between the actual sensor’s location to the HomeBase
