eufy Motion Sensor uses CR123A lithium-ion battery and the battery usually lasts up to two years under normal usage before the battery needs to be replaced. If your eufy Motion Sensor is discharging quickly, it is usually due to the following reasons.

Settings and Location of the Motion Sensor

Please launch the eufySecurity app > select your Motion Sensor > Sensor Settings > Motion Detection, and then adjust Detection Sensitivity accordingly. The Detection Sensitivity has five settings, ranging from 10ft/3m to 36ft/11m.

Additionally, please also verify the location where your eufy Motion Sensor is installed. Please refer to the following images for details.

Defective Battery

If the location and settings of your eufy Motion Sensor have been verified without issues, then it is most likely the battery may either be defective or needs to be replaced. Please visit My eufy Motion Sensor Cannot Power On for instructions on how to replace the battery.
