Activity Zones allow you to define a specific area where you want motion to be detected. Everything outside is ignored, so you avoid unnecessary event videos.
You can use Activity Zones to exclude frequently or publicly accessed areas, such as sidewalks or roads, or only to look at a doorway.
- If someone enters the zone, the system will send a push notification and record the event.
- If someone does not enter the zone but is in the camera's viewing area, the system will not record, nor send a push notification.
How do I set up an Activity Zone?
- Make sure you have added preset positions first. Activity Zones can only be added within preset positions.
- Press the Add button to create a zone automatically. Then tap the zone to move and drag the 6 points to change its shape. Tap √ to save the zone.
- You can also use the pencil to change the shape of the Activity Zone. Tap the checkmark √ to save the change.
- If you want to remove the Activity Zone, select the zone you want to delete and tap the trash icon to confirm.
- You can set up to 2 zones per preset position. For best results, keep Activity Zones from overlapping.
What should I do if notifications are still being sent after Activity Zones are set?
You can fine-tune the area borders, add more Activity Zones or split one Activity Zone into smaller Activity Zones.
