An introduction to the Mopping function of the X8 Hybrid

X8 Hybrid includes a physical water tank that dispenses water at a steady flow (Please note the amount of water flow dispensed by the RoboVac cannot be adjusted).

X8 Hybrid cannot automatically recognize carpet and lift its mop. It has a flat mop that wipes the floor evenly. The mopping mode is only intended to be used on a clean hard floor (no carpets) without stubborn stains. To achieve a better mopping effect, it is recommended to clean the floor with RoboVac three times before installing the mopping module.

If there are carpeted areas in your house and your RoboVac is set to mop the floor while you are not at home, we suggest setting no-go zones or placing boundary strips surrounding the carpeted areas to block the RoboVac from mopping the carpeted areas to avoid soaking carpets in water. Please note the mopping mode is not recommended when no one is at home.

Here is the instruction:

- Before mopping, install the waterproof pad under the Charging Base to protect the floor.

- You can block your carpets by either placing physical boundary strips or setting virtual no-mop zones in the eufy Clean app.

- Wet the mopping cloth and wring it until it does not drip water, then insert the mopping cloth along the bracket slot and stick it firmly.

- Open the water inlet rubber cover to fill up with water and eufy Hard Floor Cleaning Solution, then seal the rubber cover. Do not use hot water or any non-eufy cleaning solution.

- Slide the water tank under the robot until it clicks in place.

- Select a cleaning mode to start cleaning. RoboVac automatically sweeps and mops at the same time.

- When RoboVac finishes working, press the dust collector release button to remove the dust collector and the water tank. Then you can empty the dust collector and any remaining water in the water tank, and wash the mopping cloth. This is to prevent the cloth from becoming mildewed or producing a peculiar smell.
