No, the wires of the eufy Pet Water Fountain cannot be detached or removed. It is a safety design since water may be splashed on the floor from time to time after your pet drinks from it, so it is safer to have wires that cannot be removed from the water fountain.

Note: The eufy Pet Water Fountain has to be plugged in at all times.
