This article guides you through the key features, functionalities, and settings of your Eufy HomeBase Pro to maximize your security system’s capabilities.

1. Face Management

Enable facial recognition and management for connected Eufy cameras.

How It Works:

  • Captured Faces: Faces detected by Eufy cameras will appear in the Face Management section of the Eufy app. Tag faces to teach the AI to recognize individuals for future monitoring.

  • Upload Pictures: Upload photos from your device to add to Face Management. These are stored locally on the HomeBase (not in the cloud).

2. AI Empowerment

Leverage advanced AI capabilities built into the HomeBase hardware for faster processing and privacy.

Key Features:

  • Human Detection: Accurately identifies humans in camera footage.

  • Vehicle Detection: Detects vehicles within the camera’s field of view.

  • Pet Detection: Distinguishes pets from humans to reduce false alerts.

  • Self-Learning AI: Continuously learns facial/body features to improve recognition accuracy over time.

3. Storage

Built-in & Expandable Storage Options:

  • Built-in Storage: ~32 GB (varies slightly based on firmware size).

  • Expandable Storage: Support for up to 16 TB via USB-connected HDD/SSD.

4. Video Archive

Export recordings for backup or review.

How to Export:

  1. Insert a USB drive into the HomeBase’s USB port.

  2. Navigate to Video Archive in the Eufy app.

  3. Select the desired recordings and save them to the USB drive.

Notes for using Video Archive Function

  2. Support fat32 and exfat format extend USB drive or HDD, exfat is recommended

  3. Support time-selecting option

  4. Don’t unplug the USB drive during video archiving

5. Power Manager

Monitor and manage the backup battery of your HomeBase.

Features:

  • Battery Prediction: Estimates remaining battery life based on activity levels.

  • Battery Health: Displays battery capacity compared to its original state (lower health = shorter runtime between charges).

Procedures:

  1. Click on Homebase pro→
