Here is a list of useful tips that will guide you when setting up a keypad.
Alarm Delay (when returning home)
If you have activated a smart mode that has a HomeBase alarm action, you can set a delay time before the alarm will sound.
The alarm delay feature leaves you enough time to enter your house and switch to your desired smart mode via the keypad.
Steps in the app: Settings > smart mode settings > Alarm delay settings > Select the delay time > Select the device that needs to be delayed.
Leaving Delay (when leaving your home)
If you have activated a smart mode that has a HomeBase alarm action and you have to pass by a keypad before leaving your house, you can set a delay time.
This delay time allows you to leave home without triggering any alarm. Please make sure you leave the house before the countdown ends.
Steps in the app: Settings > Leaving delay settings > Select the delay time > Select the device that needs to be delayed.
Customize Smart Modes
Custom smart modes allow you to optimize the settings and actions of all of your devices to suit your needs.
You can set up to 3 custom modes that can be activated by pressing the Cus button on your keypad. Set a custom mode, such as “Sleep mode”, that disarms certain devices in a given room.
Steps in the app: Settings > Custom > Select Customize mode.
Assign Passcodes to Family Members and Visitors
Grant access to family members and guests by setting individual or temporary passcodes.
Keep track of activities while making security convenient for the entire household.
Steps in the app: Keypad settings > Custom access code > Add passcode > Enter the username, passcode, and validity period.
Passcode-Free Arming
By enabling passcode-free arming, you can instantly switch between smart modes without the need to enter a passcode.
Enabling this setting allows for quick and easy use of your keypad while leaving or switching from a lower-level smart mode to a high-level smart mode.
When passcode-free arming is activated, you can complete the following mode changes without entering the passcode:
- From Home Mode to Away Mode
- From Cus Mode to Away Mode
- From Off Mode to Away / Home / Cus
Steps in the app: Keypad Settings > Switch mode with access code off.
