How do I solve the issue of my Robot Lawn Mower not charging properly?

When the Robot Lawn Mower has poor contact during charging (for instance, if the charging light blinks, it can't charge properly, it charges sporadically, etc.), it is often due to the charging port of the Robot Lawn Mower or the charging pole of the base station being obstructed by debris or being oxidized and corroded. The following step-by-step troubleshooting guide will assist you in swiftly resolving the issue of your Robot Lawn Mower not charging properly.

Step 1: Inspect and clean the charging port of the Robot Lawn Mower

  1. Completely power off the Robot Lawn Mower to avoid the danger of short circuit or electric shock.

  2. Use a flashlight to illuminate the charging port and check for any debris such as dirt, grass clippings, or dust that may be blocking the charging port. If that is the case, use a dry cotton swab or a soft brush to clean it thoroughly.

  3. If there are traces of oxidation or rust on the metal contacts, it is recommended to use sandpaper and carefully polish them until they are clean.

  4.   Note: Be careful not to cause excessive abrasion while polishing the metal contacts.

Step 2: Inspect and clean the charging pole of the base station

  1. Unplug the base station's power cord from the wall outlet and verify that the base station is completely powered off.

  2. The base station's charging electrode is prone to dirt and oxidation buildup because of prolonged outdoor exposure. Use a gentle cloth moistened with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol to clean the electrode's surface. Persistent rust can be softly sanded down with sandpaper.

  3. Ensure that the Robot Lawn Mower's charging port and the base station's charging pole are fully connected when the Robot Lawn Mower is docked at the base station. If the charging pole appears to be bent, gently reposition it using tweezers.

Step 3: Contact us if the issue persists

If your Robot Lawn Mower remains unable to charge after completing the troubleshooting steps mentioned above, the underlying cause of the issue could be an internal malfunction of the charging module or deterioration of the circuit. In this situation, it is recommended to follow the steps outlined below:

  • Contact us, specifying the model of your Robot Lawn Mower along with a detailed description of the issue.

  • Take clear photos of the charging port and the base station pole to help us in analyzing and diagnosing the issue.

  • To avoid voiding the warranty or causing possible safety risks, refrain from disassembling the Robot Lawn Mower or the base station on your own.
