We have set up multiple modes for the eufy ExpertSecure System to meet the needs of different scenarios. The following is an introduction to each mode, which can help you learn to use the eufy ExpertSecure System faster.

Note:

  1. There are 6 modes: Home Mode, Away Mode, Disarmed Mode, Geofencing Mode, Scheduled Mode, and Custom Mode

  2. "Home", "Away", and "Disarmed" in the Home tab can help users quickly switch between three commonly used modes

  1. In addition to the disarmed mode, you can customize the functions and permissions of each device in each mode.

  2. For each mode, you can switch through Eufy APP --> Smart --> modes

Home Mode

  • This mode is suitable for scenarios when people are home, though you can customize it.

  • By default, the cameras and sensors will record events and send notifications, but they will not emit alarm sounds or alert the monitoring center.

Away Mode

  • This mode is suitable for scenarios where no one is home.

  • Once you switch to Away mode, you will have 60 seconds to count down to leave the house before the system switches to Away Mode. Remember to turn on 'Notify Monitoring Center' and 'Alarm' for devices under the system.

Disarmed Mode

  • Your system will stop working in this mode. All detecticons and notifications are disabled.

Geofencing Mode

  • This mode saves you from the trouble of manually controlling the arming mode by acquiring your geographical location.

  • Remember to enable the Eufy App's access to your cellphone's location. The system will automatically switch modes (of your choice) based on your cellphone's location.

  • You can bind multiple cellphones to this function.

  • When you enter the zone, the security mode will automatically switch to the Home mode by Geofencing. When you go out of the zone, the security mode will automatically switch to Away mode by Geofencing.

  • Please note that the mode changes caused by geofencing will override any

manual armed setting. For example, if you manually arm your system to Away Mode at 10 am, but you enter your house (the geofencing zone) at 11 am, the geofencing effect for Home Mode will still take place.

Schedule Mode

  • This mode saves trouble from manually controlling the arming mode by following the timetable you set up. The security system will automatically switch its arming mode at the pre-set timestamp.

  • For example, if you often leave your home at 7:00 am for workand come back to your house at 6:00 pm, you could set Away mode from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Home mode from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Customized mode from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am the next day to guard your house.

  • Please note that the arming schedule you have in place will override any manual

  • armed setting. For example, if you manually arm your system to Away Mode at 10 am, but you have a pre-existing schedule to arm your system to Home Mode at 11 am, the arming schedule for Home Mode will still take place.

Custom Mode

  • You can set up your security mode. Devices under the security system will respond to events in the way you set up.
