Please note that while the eufyCam E40 can be installed outdoors, the HomeBase 2/HomeBase S380 cannot be installed outdoors as it is not waterproof.

Please refer to the following recommendations when installing your eufyCam E40 outdoors:

1. In areas with frequent heavy rainfall or strong winds, it is recommended to use the secure outdoor mount bracket when mounting the camera.

2. It is recommended to mount the camera on a sidewall to ensure that the camera’s integrated solar panel receives direct sunlight.

3. Bring your camera and smartphone to the mounting location, then use the app to check the signal strength of the camera to ensure that it is an ideal location for mounting the camera.

4. Mount the camera approximately 7ft-10ft/2.1m-3m off the ground and tilt it downwards at 5°-10°.

5. Avoid mounting the camera too close to a wall or light source, as this might cause light reflection at night, impacting the quality of video recordings.
