What should I do if my S1 Pro does not clean a specific area?

During a cleaning session, if there are obstacles in the path of the S1 Pro, the robot will navigate around them to clean the area. However, even if you remove these obstacles, the robot may not return to that spot and clean again during the same cleaning session. Therefore, clearing the cleaning area of obstacles before the robot starts a cleaning session is highly recommended to ensure a thorough cleaning.

Once an obstacle is removed, the robot will not retain the memory of that specific obstacle for its future cleaning sessions. This means the next time the robot cleans, it will approach the same area and clean the spot for the first time.

However, there is an exception to this cleaning logic, particularly when dealing with carpets. To prevent issues such as failing to detect carpets, rolling up carpets, or getting carpets wet, the robot's logic intelligently remembers the location of carpets from its previous cleaning sessions. This memory is retained even if obstacles are moved, and the robot will continue to avoid these areas as it did before.

However, the robot's map will only update after a complete and successful cleaning session of the entire house, which includes an automatic return to the base station. Manual returns to the base station, in addition to selective area cleaning or zone cleaning, will not trigger a map update. Therefore, please run a full cleaning session to ensure that the robot's map updates the current layout of your home, including any changes in the location of carpets or other furniture.

In summary, to get the most out of your S1 Pro, removing obstacles from the cleaning area before starting the robot is the best practice. For changes in the layout, such as moving furniture or carpets, please run a full cleaning session for the robot to update its internal map, so it will be able to clean your home as efficiently as possible.
