Generally, Bounce series RoboVacs can work on carpets up to 26mm, but there are special circumstances where very thick wool or hard carpet sweepers may not work. If RoboVac is required to cross the carpet from the floor, the carpet must be less than 17mm.

Carpets with tassels will not work, because the brushes, etc may get tangled.

RoboVac may not work on certain dark or black surfaces. The Infrared ray of anti-fall sensors may be absorbed by a certain dark or black colored surface and recognize such areas as an edge or a stair. When RoboVac encounters this surface, it may run away from this surface.
