What Should I Do if My RoboVac L70 Hybrid Emits a Loud Noise When Vacuuming?

What May Cause the Noise Issue?

Noise may be caused by a few common factors, such as RoboVac's wheels/rolling brush/suction inlet are stuck by debris when the RoboVac has not been properly cleaned; similarly, brush guard and the mopping module may emit noise if they are not properly installed when the RoboVac is running in Mopping mode.

How to Fix the Noise Issue?

  • The noise levels in higher suction levels (like in Max Suction) are louder than in Standard Suction. Adjust to Standard Suction for a try.
  • Tap and roll the wheels to see if there is anything stuck. Clean the wheels out.
  • If the noise happens when mopping, please make sure the mopping module is properly installed.
  • Remove the dust collector, clean the suction inlet, and make sure the filter is properly installed.  Ensure that the filter and suction inlet are dry.
  • With the dust collector removed from the unit, hold the vacuum upright with the suction "hole" facing downwards. Shake out any debris that might be stuck in the suction fans inside the machine.
  • Remove the brush guard and rolling brush to clean out the rolling brush and the roller joints and the joints on the vacuum.
  • Run the vacuum on hard floors without the roller brush and brush guard to see whether the noise persists when the vacuum is running without the 2 parts.

* If the vacuum runs quietly when the 2 parts are unattached, it means the vacuum itself works normally and the problem lies with the roller brush and/or brush guard. Maybe they are not installed correctly or need replacing, like the rubber on the brush guard is broken, or the rolling brush connector is worn out. You can replace the parts:
