The PoE NVR Security System can be set up using the following methods:
-
PoE Connection: The NVR central hub can connect to the PoE camera using a Cat5 or Cat6 Ethernet cable, supplying both power and data transmission. Please be aware that the maximum supported cable length is 100 meters.
-
For a connection distance less than 100 meters: A direct connection through a Cat5 or Cat6 Ethernet cable allows the PoE camera to receive power directly via the Ethernet cable. However, please make sure that the PoE camera complies with the IEEE 802.3at and 802.3af standards to ensure a reliable power source for the device.
-
For a connection distance greater than 100 meters: A PoE switch is required to connect your PoE cameras to the NVR central hub. It is essential to verify that the PoE switch complies with IEEE 802.3at and 802.3af standards, providing a maximum of 30W per port. If the switch does not have a power supply capability, use a 12V DC adapter to provide power to the PoE camera.
-
Wi-Fi Connection: By utilizing the official eufy Wi-Fi Module, the PoE camera can connect wirelessly to the NVR central hub, enabling a connection range exceeding 100 meters. In this setup, the PoE camera is powered by the solar panel.
Note: The official eufy Wi-Fi Module (PN: T8709) will be launched in the near future. Stay tuned for updates!
