If your E25/E28 robot is emitting a noisy sound while cleaning, it is usually due to one of the reasons listed in this article. Please refer to the following causes along with their corresponding troubleshooting steps:
Roller Brush Noise
Symptom:
A continuous "clicking" sound can be heard, especially when the robot begins its cleaning task.
Troubleshooting Steps:

Ensure that the roller brush guard is securely installed. A roller brush guard that is not correctly installed or is loose can result in unexpected vibrations or sounds.

Remove the roller brush and then run the robot. If the sound stops, reinstall the roller brush and try again. If the sound persists after reinstalling the roller brush, it is recommended to replace it with a new one.

If a loud sound occurs while the robot is cleaning, it may be due to a full dustbin, a jammed roller chamber, or an object stuck in the roller area. Please power off the robot, flip it over, remove the roller brush guard and roller brush, and empty any debris or blockage from the dustbin and roller brush.
Roller Brush Guard Strip Noise
Symptom:
A loud "squeaking" or "screeching" sound can be heard, especially when the robot travels across smooth surfaces such as ceramic tiles.
Troubleshooting Steps:

Check whether your home has a large carpeted area and determine how long the rubber strip has been used.

In most scenarios, the sound comes from the rubber strip warping or becoming deformed, and it is recommended to replace it with a new one.
Side Brush Noise
Symptom:
A sharp, high-frequency "squeaking" sound can be heard while the robot is cleaning, and in some scenarios, the sound may worsen after removing the side brush.
Troubleshooting Steps:

This typically occurs due to friction or damage to the gears in the side brush module. It is recommended to replace the side brush module, or in some cases, the robot may need to be replaced.
Roller Mop Noise
Symptom:
A continuous "clicking" sound can be heard, especially when the robot begins its cleaning task.
Troubleshooting Steps:

Confirm that the roller mop is correctly installed. If it is not correct, uninstall and reinstall the roller mop properly.

Inspect the roller mop for any trapped objects (such as hair or string) and remove them before reinstalling the roller mop.

If the sound happens specifically when the robot is lifting the roller mop, it might be due to the dirty water tank fitting too tightly, preventing the roller mop from ascending smoothly. Try to remove and then reinstall the dirty water tank to ensure it aligns properly.
Additional Note:
If the roller mop is missing and the support bracket is hanging loose, the shaft may scrape the floor and produce a sharp sound. This could cause water to spray directly onto the roller mop module, which may result in hardware damage or scratches on the floor.
Solution:
Please check if the roller mop is missing. If it is missing, reinstall the roller mop before starting the robot. Using the robot without the roller mop could cause water to spray directly onto the roller mop module, potentially damaging internal components or scratching the floor. Even when the robot cleans in "Vacuum Only" mode, it is essential to keep the roller mop installed during the robot's cleaning session.
"Clicking" Noise
Symptom:
A continuous "clicking" sound can be heard, especially when the robot begins its cleaning task.
Troubleshooting Steps:
Since both the roller brush and roller mop can produce a similar "clicking" sound, identifying the precise source of the sound can be difficult. To help identify the component causing the issue, please follow one of the two methods described below:
Method 1) Identify the issue by using the robot's Cleaning mode

Run the robot in "Vacuum Only" mode. If an abnormal sound occurs while the robot is cleaning, the issue is likely related to the roller brush.

If the sound occurs only in "Mopping" mode, the issue is likely related to the roller mop.
Method 2) Identify the issue by removing components

Remove the roller brush and then run the robot. If the sound stops, the issue is likely related to the roller brush.
