Why is my camera battery still dropping?

While the solar panel continuously supplies power, the camera also consumes energy during operation. If the power consumption exceeds the amount of solar energy collected, the battery level may begin to decrease.

The most common reason for a declining battery level is limited solar input. This may occur due to:
Solar Panel Positioning:
Ensure the solar panel is installed in a location that receives direct sunlight for at least 1–2 hours daily. Adjust the angle and orientation if necessary.
Weather Conditions:
Overcast, rainy, or cloudy weather can temporarily reduce charging efficiency. This is expected behavior, and charging performance will recover as sunlight improves.

Excessive Power Consumption
The camera may be using more power than typical. This could be due to high activity in the monitored area or overly sensitive settings.
To optimize battery efficiency:

Select the Optimal Battery Life Mode in the app.

Lower motion detection sensitivity to reduce unnecessary activations.

Set Motion Detection to “Human Only” to ignore animals or vehicles.
