Connecting eufy Smart Locks to Amazon Alexa through Matter allows users to control their Smart Lock using the Alexa app or Alexa devices.

1. Successful Pairing and Control:

• Users can add their eufy Matter-compatible devices (such as Smart Locks) to Alexa and control basic functions.

2. Function Limitations:

• Only basic operations (lock/unlock and status check) are supported via Alexa; advanced functions such as access management are currently unavailable.

3. Pairing Errors:

• Issues may occur if the Matter QR code is not detected, the hub is not compatible, or the device’s operating system does not meet the minimum requirements.

1. Hub or Device Has Not Been Added:

• The required hub has not been added to the Alexa app, or the device has not been added to the eufy app.

2. Incompatible Alexa App or iOS Version:

• The Alexa app is outdated, not installed, or the iPhone’s iOS version is older than 16.1.

3. Incorrect Pairing Procedure:

• Users might overlook steps like initiating the pairing process in the eufy app or neglecting to verify the device's compatibility with Matter.

Solutions and Operational Guidelines

1. Adding Matter Devices to Alexa:

• Confirm the Matter device has been added in the eufy app.

• In the eufy app, navigate to Device Page > Settings > Works with Matter > Connect to Third-party Ecosystem > Alexa > Start pairing.

• Download and open the Alexa app from the App Store/Google Play. Register or log in to your account.

• Select the + icon in the Alexa app to add a device.

• Select “Matter.”

• Confirm you have a Matter device (select Yes).

• Scan the Matter QR code or enter the numeric code and follow on-screen instructions.

2. Operation After Adding:

• Lock/unlock the device via the Alexa app.

• Lock/unlock the device by voice command with Alexa Echo.

  • Note: The Unlocking function requires enabling the function and setting a password in the Alexa app.

• Check the status of the Smart Lock in the Alexa app.

Important Notes

• Function Restrictions: Currently, creating or managing access (e.g., adding or deleting user codes) via Alexa is not supported.

• Security: To unlock the Smart Lock by voice command, the user must first enable the function and set a password in the Alexa app.
