The Omni C30 Edge is equipped with a carpet detection function and supports carpets with a combined thickness and pile height of less than 26 mm. When a carpet is detected, the robot automatically lifts the mopping pad bracket to help prevent the carpet from getting wet.
However, carpet detection performance may be affected in certain situations, including:

Very dark carpets (solid black or dark gray): The sensor may receive a weak reflected signal, which can result in detection failure.

Very thin carpets (<5 mm): The sensor may identify the carpet as a hard floor surface.

Very thick carpets with long pile (≥26 mm): The mopping pad may come into contact with the carpet and wet it.

Irregular carpet edges or carpet colors similar to the floor: The robot may have difficulty detecting the carpet, particularly around its edges.

Manually Mark Carpet Areas in the eufy App
Use the map feature in the eufy app to manually mark carpet areas. When the Omni C30 Edge enters a marked area, it will automatically lift the mopping pad bracket, helping prevent the carpet from getting wet.

Dry the Carpet if It Has Already Been Wet
If the mopping pad has already wet the carpet, use a dry towel to absorb the moisture. Then, allow the carpet to air dry completely.
Tips for Preventing Carpet Wetting
For the most reliable carpet protection, manually mark carpeted areas in the eufy app, especially for very dark, thin, thick, or irregularly shaped carpets. This helps ensure that the Omni C30 Edge lifts the mopping pad when mopping near or over carpeted areas.
