The Omni C30 Edge can climb thresholds approximately 2 cm high on hard surfaces. However, if a threshold exceeds 2 cm in height or has a smooth, inclined surface with a low friction coefficient, the drive wheels may not gain sufficient traction to climb over it. Smooth metal room transition strips may also make obstacle crossing more difficult.
These limitations are related to the physical characteristics of the threshold or transition strip and do not indicate a product defect.

Measure the Threshold Height
Measure the height of the threshold. If it exceeds 2 cm, the Omni C30 Edge may be unable to cross it, which is within the robot's normal operating range.

Install Ramp Strips on Both Sides of the Threshold
Install ramp strips on both sides of the threshold to create a gentler slope for the Omni C30 Edge to climb. Ramp strips are available at most home improvement stores.

Manually Relocate the Robot to Another Room
For thresholds that the Omni C30 Edge cannot cross, manually carry the robot to the desired room and start a cleaning cycle there.

Manually Carry the Robot Between Floors
For multi-story homes, manually carry the Omni C30 Edge to each floor as needed. The robot cannot climb stairs.

Before using the Omni C30 Edge, check the height and surface of thresholds and room transition strips in your home. For thresholds higher than 2 cm or surfaces that are particularly smooth or slippery, installing ramp strips can help create a more accessible path for the robot.
