Occasional collisions while using the Omni C28 are normal and usually not a sign of malfunction. These incidents are often a result of the robot’s navigation characteristics. To manage and reduce collisions, please try the following solutions:
Check the Height of Furniture
If furniture, such as crossbeams under a coffee table or TV cabinet, has a height between 5 and 11 cm, the Omni C28 may interpret it as passable and attempt to navigate through, which can result in a collision. Adjust or reposition the furniture if necessary.
Be Mindful of Special Surfaces
Highly reflective metal surfaces or furniture with pure black finishes may interfere with the robot’s sensors, causing inaccurate detection and potential collisions. It is recommended to create virtual walls or no-go zones in the app to block areas prone to collisions.
By following these guidelines, the Omni C28 will navigate your home safely and efficiently.
