The Omni C30 Edge uses a fusion perception system that combines a top-mounted 360-degree DToF LiDAR with side line lasers. To maximize cleaning coverage, the robot performs boundary exploration along the edges of the cleaning area, which may result in occasional contact with furniture or baseboards.
Highly reflective metallic surfaces and pure black surfaces can reduce LiDAR echo intensity, which may decrease the robot's ability to reliably recognize these surfaces.
Recommended Solutions
-
Check Whether the Bumped Area Is Between 5 and 11 cm Above the Floor
Check whether the bottom of the furniture or baseboard where the robot makes contact is positioned between 5 and 11 cm above the floor. Within this height range, the Omni C30 Edge may judge the area to be passable, which can result in occasional light contact.
-
Set a No-Go Zone for Reflective or Black Surfaces in the eufy App
If the area where the robot makes contact has a highly reflective metallic surface, such as a stainless steel baseboard, or a pure black surface, LiDAR recognition may be reduced.
Set a no-go zone around the affected area in the eufy app:
-
eufy app → Map Editing → No-Go Zone Settings
This prevents the Omni C30 Edge from entering the designated area during future cleaning cycles.
