Try these steps:

1. Install at 2.2-2.4m (7.2-7.9 ft) height, 10-20 degree downward tilt. Position so pets walk across the camera's field of view. Avoid walls or glass causing glare

2. In Detection settings, increase sensitivity to "5-7"

3. Make sure your camera is connected to a HomeBase, or has an SD card inserted and formatted

4. In Activity Zones, confirm your zone covers where your pet moves

5. In Detection settings, enable "Pet Detection" and choose Human/Pet/Vehicle as needed
