If the Omni E35 does not power on or appears completely unresponsive, the most common cause is a deeply discharged battery. In some cases, the battery protection circuit may temporarily prevent the robot from responding until it has charged for a sufficient amount of time. Actual hardware failure is less common.
Troubleshooting Steps
Step 1: Check Whether the Battery Is Drained
Manually place the Omni E35 on the base station and make sure the charging contacts are properly aligned. Leave the robot on the base station for 15-30 minutes, then try pressing the power button again.
Step 2: Perform a Force Restart
Turn the power switch on the top of the Omni E35 to the OFF position and wait 60 seconds. Then turn the switch back to ON. Press and hold the power button on top of the robot for 10 seconds. Check whether the ring light turns on normally.
Step 3: Check the Base Station
Check whether the LED on the base station is illuminated. Make sure the power cable is fully inserted into both the base station and the power outlet. If necessary, test the outlet with another device to confirm that it is working properly.
Step 4: Clean the Charging Contacts
Unplug the base station from the power outlet. Using a clean, dry microfiber cloth, gently wipe the metal charging contacts on the bottom of the Omni E35 and on the base station. Reconnect the base station to power and place the robot on the base station again.
