Smart Lock C34/E30: How Does the Wrong-Try Protection Feature Work?

The Wrong-Try Protection feature on the Smart Lock C34/E30 is designed to enhance security by preventing unauthorized access attempts through repeated incorrect fingerprints or passcodes. This feature helps deter tampering and protects your home from unauthorized access attempts.

  • Fingerprint Attempts

If an unauthorized user fails to unlock the Smart Lock with a fingerprint five consecutive times (default setting), the fingerprint recognition will be temporarily disabled for three minutes. During this time, passcode access will still be available.

  • Passcode Attempts

If an unauthorized user enters an incorrect passcode five consecutive times (default setting), both passcode and fingerprint recognition will be disabled for three minutes.
